Preparing high school students for responsible leadership roles, the Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps Program teaches high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, physical fitness, service to the community, personal responsibility, critical thinking, effective communication, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline. Its focus is reflected in its mission statement, "To motivate young people to be better citizens." The program is a stimulus for promoting graduation for high school and provides instructions on rewarding opportunities that enrich the lives of many young high school students.
 

Specialized Courses Included:

  • Cadets learn military courtesy and military drill which teaches the fundementals of initiative, responsibility, and teamwork skills
  • Cadets also learn to describe the importance of diet and of physical fitness in maintaining good health and appearance.
